55 Congressman Sign a Letter to the FDA Requesting GMO Labeling

March 13, 2012, www.occupymonsanto360.org | On Monday, March 12, 45 Representatives and 10 Senators signed a letter to the FDA in support of a legal petition from the Center for Food Safety requesting mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food.  The letter was drafted primarily by Sen. Barbara Boxer (CA) and Rep. Peter DeFazio (OR).  It was quite direct, and not aimed at finding fault with GMOs but that consumers deserve the right to know and make informed decisions for themselves.
